Week 2: Introduction to the Internet and issues in Media and Technology

Week 2 Reflection
My Reflection of introduction to the internet and issues in media technology is as follows:

As I reflect back on week two, the task's  that was given was all about definitions and examples.
Well the task for week two was to define netiquette and differentiate between internet vs. the world wide web and digital native vs. digital immigrant.
Now my understanding of netiquette is using the internet in the correct way in a acceptable manner while the difference between internet and the world wide web is that the internet is a global network providing a lot of information and communication whereas the world wide web is an informative document which allows connectivity to other documents.
Digital native vs. Digital immigrant , my understanding of digital immigrant are persons who was born before technology became popular and hardly know anything about technology while, digital native are persons that was born while technology was widely spreading (very popular).
Digital Immigrant
In other words, our home assignment was to also differentiate between terms. First terms was asynchronous vs. synchronous communication. synchronous  is communication between person that is in real life or live while asynchronous communication is the exchange  of messages via social media.

Google search, Advance search and bookmarking.
Google search can be defined as a web search engine developed by google, while advance search would be  is a full search of the entire dictionary text and bookmarking is a way for people to store pages or information that can be access at a later date.
examples of each:
Google search- google.com
advance search- netfind.com
bookmarking- yahoo book marks

Viruses, Malware, and Viruses
I learnt that virus are detrimental effect that corrupts systems or destroys data.
Malware is software that is specify to disrupt or damage computer systems. Antivirus are things that are installed don a computer to detect and cure viruses on a computer.
types of the following may be:Virus- storm virus, Malware- trojans, Antivirus- kaspery

How would I apply this to my everyday life?
well for the Antivirus it would help me a lot by keeping virus off my computer so it won't be affected.
