WEEK 4 Reflection on ASSURE Model

My Reflection from week 4

      Week Four main focus was on the ASSURE Model.

The ASSURE Model is use to help teachers to utilize the correct technology to help students exploit the skills of problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.

The ASSURE Model is broken into 6 elements. There are:

A: analyze learners - this is use to analyze the leaner by pre-test and evaluating demographics. 

S: state objectives - the objectives are stated with clarity outline students outcome and their expectations.

S: select media and materials - this helps teachers to choose the a media and to deliver her content.

U: utilize media and materials - this helps teachers to organize the media, by using the five P's(Preview the materials, Prepare the materials, Prepare the environment and Prepare the learners)

R: require learner participation - this indicates what the student will be learning and how they will be learning it. also this determines the condition in which the students will learn( groups, individually, listening to the teacher or working on a project)

E: evaluate and revise - has to deal with reflection on what work and what didn't work.

The ASSURE model helps teachers choose and and utilize the correct technology to fit the students learning styles and they needs.

The ASSURE Model also help teachers to be aware of the media that has been chosen.
